CID Crime and Food & Drugs Department Conduct Joint Raid on Suspected Counterfeit Surat Fake Edible Oil Factory at Kamrej
Surat News: Authorities busted a suspected counterfeit edible oil manufacturing operation in Surat district’s Kamrej Taluka following a joint raid by the CID Crime and Food & Drugs Department. Officials reportedly seized a large quantity of suspected oil along with packaging material associated with different brands.
According to the preliminary information, the operation was carried out following directions from the state Health Department as authorities intensified action against the production and sale of adulterated and counterfeit food products.
The total value of the material seized during the operation has been estimated at around ₹20.30 lakh.
Joint Raid on Suspected Oil Factory
The raid was conducted by a joint team of CID Crime and the Food & Drugs Department at a suspected oil manufacturing facility in Surat district.
Officials inspected the premises and examined the production and packaging arrangements. The operation was reportedly part of a wider crackdown on suspected adulterated food products and illegal food businesses.
Authorities found a significant quantity of suspected oil at the premises along with packaging material carrying different brand names. The material was seized for further investigation.

The authorities reportedly seized material worth approximately ₹20.30 lakh during the Surat Fake Edible Oil Factory raid.
