Ancient Ambamata Temple Becomes a Major Attraction This Year
Valsad: As the country celebrates the auspicious festival of Ganesh Chaturthi 2026, devotees are visiting temples and pandals to seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha. Valsad Ganesh Utsav 2026 festival, an unusual and spiritually significant celebration has become a major attraction for devotees.
At the ancient Ambamata Temple in Mota Bazaar, Valsad, as many as 109 idols of Lord Ganesha have been installed this year. The unique setup brings together representations of several famous and revered Ganesh temples from across India at a single location.
The temple premises have been beautifully decorated for the festival, attracting devotees from Valsad city and nearby areas.
109 Ganesh Idols Installed at Ambamata Temple
The highlight of this year’s Ganesh Utsav at Ambamata Temple is the installation of 109 Ganesh idols, representing different famous forms and temples dedicated to Lord Ganesha.
The arrangement gives devotees an opportunity to experience the spiritual significance of several renowned Ganesh pilgrimage destinations without having to travel to different cities. Among the prominent representations are the sacred Ashtavinayak temples of Maharashtra, Moti Dungri Ganesh Temple in Jaipur, Dhundhi Vinayak in Vadodara, the famous Shrimant Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati Temple in Pune, Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai and Trinetra Ganesh of Rajasthan.
A representation inspired by Varad Vinayak, associated with a statue preserved at a museum in New York, has also been included in the special installation.
One Location, Darshan of Multiple Famous Ganesh Forms
The unique arrangement has created a special spiritual experience for devotees who may not have the opportunity to visit all these famous Ganesh temples across the country.
Devotees visiting the Ambamata Temple can offer prayers, perform aarti and take darshan of the 109 Ganesh idols at the same location. The organisers have also highlighted the spiritual significance of completing a single circumambulation (pradakshina) around the arrangement, which devotees believe provides the religious benefit associated with circumambulating all 109 Ganesh idols.
Devotees Gather for Darshan and Puja at Valsad Ganesh Utsav 2026
On the second day of Ganesh Chaturthi, devotees have been visiting the temple throughout the day to offer prayers and participate in the celebrations.
The temple has made arrangements allowing devotees to perform puja, aarti and pradakshina around the beautifully arranged idols. The sight of 109 different Ganesh idols together has become a major attraction for residents of Valsad as well as visitors from surrounding areas.

The 109 Ganesh idols installed at the Ambamata Temple will remain available for devotees to visit and worship until Anant Chaturdashi, the concluding day of the Ganesh festival.
With regular puja, aarti and darshan continuing during the festival, the temple is expected to remain an important destination for devotees throughout the Ganesh Utsav period.
