Major Fake Passport Racket Exposed in Valsad
In a significant breakthrough, the Special Operations Group (SOG) of Valsad has busted a major fake passport racket operating through forged documents. The police have arrested two key accused, including the alleged mastermind behind the operation.
The accused were produced before the court and remanded to police custody until May 4 for further investigation.
Operation Led by Senior Officials Using Technical Surveillance
The operation was conducted under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Yuvrajsinh Jadeja. The SOG team, led by PI Dinesh Parmar, used technical surveillance and intelligence inputs from informants to crack the case. Officials confirmed that the racket had been under observation for some time before the final raid was executed.
Fake Documents Created to Exploit UK Visa Scheme
Preliminary investigation revealed that the accused were running a well-organized operation to help individuals obtain Indian passports using forged identity documents.
The gang allegedly targeted the United Kingdom’s “UK-21” visa scheme, luring people with promises of easy overseas travel.
To facilitate this, the accused created fake:
- Birth certificates
- Aadhaar cards
- PAN cards
These documents were manipulated with false names and addresses to bypass verification processes.
Raid Conducted at Daman-Based Office

Based on specific intelligence, the SOG team raided an office named “Jack Enterprise” located in the Khariwad area of Daman. The office was found to be the central hub for producing forged documents.
During the raid, police seized several items used in the illegal operation, including:
- Laptops
- Color printers
- Bond paper
- Photo paper
- Digital files and document templates
Authorities stated that the setup was sophisticated enough to produce high-quality fake documents.
Two Key Accused Arrested
Police have identified and arrested the main individuals behind the racket:
- Jignesh Patel – Alleged mastermind involved in creating fake documents
- Jitendra Damania – Worked as a passport agent facilitating the fraud
Both accused are currently under police custody, and further interrogation is underway.
Investigation Expands to Identify Wider Network
Officials believe that the racket could be part of a larger network operating across multiple locations.
The police are now focusing on:
- Identifying additional accomplices
- Tracking how many passports were fraudulently issued
- Verifying the number of beneficiaries who traveled or attempted to travel abroad
Sources indicate that more arrests are likely as the investigation progresses.
Authorities Intensify Crackdown on Document Fraud
With this major bust in Valsad, law enforcement agencies have reiterated their commitment to cracking down on passport fraud and illegal immigration networks.
The SOG team continues to investigate the case thoroughly, aiming to dismantle the entire network and prevent further misuse of government documents. As the probe deepens, authorities are urging citizens to remain cautious and avoid falling prey to fraudulent agents promising easy overseas opportunities.
