IMD Forecast: Rain Activity to Intensify Across Gujarat, South Gujarat on Alert
Gujarat is likely to witness another spell of rain over the next few days, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing heavy to very heavy rainfall warnings for several parts of the state. The latest forecast indicates that rain activity will remain significant from September 12 to September 14, particularly across South Gujarat.
According to the IMD’s September 11 warning, Gujarat Region is under a heavy-rain warning on September 12, followed by very heavy rain warnings on September 13 and September 14.
South Gujarat Likely to Receive Heavy Rain
The latest forecast is particularly important for districts across South Gujarat. Surat, Bharuch, Narmada, Tapi, Dang, Navsari and Valsad are among the areas expected to experience significant rainfall during this period.
For September 12, the IMD has forecast thunderstorms with rain in Surat along with a heavy-rain warning. Similar conditions are expected on September 13 and September 14, with thunderstorms and rain forecast for the city.
