Vadodara, July 23, 2026: In view of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) Red Alert for extremely heavy rainfall, the Vadodara District Administration has announced the closure of all educational institutions across the district on Friday, July 24, 2026.
The order has been issued by Vadodara District Collector Anil Dhameliya to ensure the safety of students as heavy rainfall is expected to impact several parts of the district over the next 24 hours.
All Educational Institutions to Remain Closed
According to the official notification issued by the District Primary Education Officer and District Education Officer, the following institutions will remain closed across all talukas of Vadodara district:
- Anganwadi Centres
- Primary Schools
- Secondary Schools
- Higher Secondary Schools
- ITI Institutes
- Colleges
The administration has directed all educational institutions to suspend academic activities for the day due to the severe weather conditions.
