Vadodara SOG major anti-narcotics operation: The Vadodara City Special Operations Group (SOG) seized cannabis worth over ₹80,000 and arrested one accused from a residential house near Akota Bridge. During the search operation, police detained Zuberbhai Rabbhai Patel, a resident of Navavas near Akota Bridge.

Based on the evidence recovered during the raid, the Vadodara SOG registered a case under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Akota Police Station.
Officials stated that further investigation is underway to determine:
- Source of the cannabis supply
- Possible links to larger drug distribution networks
- Additional persons involved in the operation
- Previous narcotics-related activities of the accused
