One of the biggest highlights of the visit will be the inauguration of India’s first greenfield integrated refinery-cum-petrochemical complex at Pachpadra in Balotra. Developed with an investment of approximately ₹79,450 crore, the refinery is expected to significantly strengthen India’s energy security while boosting Rajasthan’s industrial development.
Jaipur Metro Phase 2 Foundation Stone
The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for Jaipur Metro Phase 2, a project valued at over ₹13,000 crore. The proposed 41-kilometre corridor will connect major residential and industrial areas through 36 metro stations, improving urban mobility across Jaipur.
Renewable Energy and Power Projects
Several renewable energy and power transmission projects will also be inaugurated and launched during the programme, further supporting Rajasthan’s clean energy ambitions. PM Modi is also expected to distribute appointment letters to nearly 54,000 newly recruited government employees from various departments of the Rajasthan Government.
Gujarat Visit Focuses on Semiconductor Manufacturing
Later in the day, the Prime Minister will arrive in Sanand, Gujarat, where he will inaugurate the CG Semi Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) Facility. The project has been developed under the India Semiconductor Mission with an investment exceeding ₹7,500 crore.
Major Boost for India’s Semiconductor Ecosystem
The Sanand facility marks one of India’s first commercial semiconductor assembly and testing plants.
Once fully operational, it is expected to:
- Produce up to 5 billion semiconductor chips annually
- Support automotive, telecom, AI, 5G and IoT industries
- Strengthen India’s position in the global semiconductor supply chain
- Generate high-skilled employment opportunities
