Built at an estimated cost of ₹62 crores by the Ports and Transport Department, the high-tech facility replaces traditional administrative bottlenecks with an automated, citizen-centric infrastructure designed to eradicate long queues and agent dependence.

Addressing the gathering, Deputy CM Harsh Sanghavi sent a stern message regarding road safety and corruption. He announced that the issuance of driving licenses will now be governed completely by an Automated Driving Test Track powered by Artificial Intelligence.
This digital migration ensures that only skilled drivers hit the roads, massively boosting traffic safety metrics across Gujarat.
Integrated Services Under One Roof: The Single-Window Solution
To resolve the chronic issue of visitors shuffling between various counters, the new Subhash Bridge RTO introduces an integrated Single-Window System. Backed by upgraded servers and high-speed digital networks, the facility aims to make “server down” delays a thing of the past.

Departing from the conventional image of dusty government offices, the new facility welcomes citizens with a massive central AC dome entry and optimized waiting areas to shelter visitors from harsh weather conditions. The Transport Minister urged the public to treat the office with respect, noting that maintaining and preserving state-of-the-art public infrastructure is a shared civic responsibility.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by key dignitaries including Minister of State for Urban Development Darshana Vaghela, Ahmedabad Mayor Hitesh Barot, MP Dinesh Makwana, alongside several local MLAs and senior transport administrative officials.
