Under this scheme, eligible Gujarat residents can receive a subsidy of up to ₹15,000 after completing the pilgrimage and submitting the required documents through the official government portal. The Sindhu Darshan Yatra is a spiritual and cultural pilgrimage organized every year in June near the banks of the Indus River in Ladakh. Who Can Avail the Sindhu Darshan Yatra Subsidy?
To claim the subsidy, applicants must:
- Be a resident of Gujarat.
- Participate in the official Sindhu Darshan Yatra.
- Preserve original travel bills and tickets.
- Keep Aadhaar Card details ready.
- Obtain an official Yatra Certificate from the Sindhu Darshan Samiti.
- Submit the online application within 60 days of completing the journey.
The subsidy amount is transferred after verification of the documents and eligibility criteria.

Gujarat Government’s Shravan Tirthdarshan Yojana for Senior Citizens
Another popular government initiative is the Shravan Tirthdarshan Yojana, designed specifically for senior citizens aged 60 years and above. Under this scheme, the Gujarat Government reimburses 50% of the transportation cost incurred by groups of senior citizens traveling to religious destinations within Gujarat.

- Dwarka
- Ambaji
- Dakor
- Palitana
- Other recognized religious sites
How Much Subsidy Can Senior Citizens Receive?
The scheme provides reimbursement of up to 50% of the total transportation cost incurred by the group.
If a group hires:
- GSRTC Bus
- Private Luxury Bus
- Super Deluxe Bus
The government transfers the eligible subsidy amount directly into the bank account of the group leader, organization, or authorized travel coordinator through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

- The trip must be at least 2 nights and 3 days.
