VADODARA, July 2026 – In view of the upcoming Gauri Vrat and Jaya Parvati Vrat, the Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) has announced special arrangements for women visiting vadodara gardens across the city. As part of the initiative, most municipal gardens will be reserved exclusively for women during specified hours from July 27 to July 31, 2026. The decision has been taken to facilitate religious observances and ensure a comfortable environment for women participating in traditional vrat-related activities.
Women-Only Entry Timings in Vadodara Gardens
According to an official VMC notification, from Monday, July 27, to Friday, July 31, 2026, only women will be allowed entry into most municipal gardens between 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
However, the following gardens are exempt from the restriction and will remain open for all visitors:
- Lalbaug
- Sayaji Baug (Kamati Baug)
- Nimeta Garden
The remaining VMC-operated gardens will observe the women-only entry schedule throughout the five-day vrat period.
Gardens to Remain Open Until 1 AM on July 31
On Friday, July 31, which marks the traditional Jagran (night vigil) associated with Gauri Vrat, the designated municipal gardens will remain open until 1:00 AM. The extended timing has been introduced to allow women to perform religious rituals, prayers, and cultural activities without inconvenience.
