AHMEDABAD: The vibrant city of Ahmedabad is all set to take center stage on the international sports map as it gears up to host the prestigious FIBA U18 Asia Cup 2026. Scheduled to run from August 13 to August 23, 2026, the marquee continental tournament brings a premier FIBA World Cup qualification event back to India after 22 years.
Organized by the Basketball Federation of India (BFI) in association with FIBA Asia, the Government of Gujarat, and the Gujarat State Basketball Association, the tournament will witness 16 of the finest youth national teams from across Asia and Oceania battle it out for continental supremacy.

Defending champions Australia enter the 2026 edition as the team to beat, joined by formidable regional competitors including New Zealand, China, South Korea, Iran, the Philippines, and hosts India.
