Salangpur Kashtabhanjan Dev Temple Ahmedabad: On the auspicious occasion of Ashadhi Bij and Rath Yatra 2026, a wave of deep devotion has swept across Gujarat.
While the grand, traditional procession of Lord Jagannath commenced in Ahmedabad, a divine and breathtaking spectacle unfolded at the world-famous Kashtabhanjan Dev Hanumanji Temple in Salangpur. To mark the sacred day, the deity was adorned in a magnificent, unique theme inspired entirely by the Puri Rath Yatra.
A Divine Chariot-Themed Transformation
Under the guidance and inspiration of Pujya Shastri Swami Hariprakashdasji (Athana Wale), the morning Shringar Aarti was performed by the temple’s head priest on Thursday, July 16, 2026. For this special celebration, beautiful, colorful replicas of the traditional chariots of Lord Jagannath, Devi Subhadra, and Lord Balabhadra were meticulously crafted around the main throne of Hanumanji Dada.

The highlight of this year’s Rath Yatra 2026 celebration at the temple was the deity’s extraordinary attire (Vagha). The beautiful garments and intricate ornaments were designed to depict Lord Jagannath, Subhadraji, and Baldevji residing right within the heart of Shri Kashtabhanjan Dev.
Key Highlights of the Decoration:
- Traditional Offerings: A variety of pulses, including sprouted moong and chana – synonymous with the traditional Rath Yatra prasad were offered at the deity’s feet.
- Exotic Floral Decor: The entire sanctum sanctorum was beautifully embellished with vibrant, imported orchid flowers.
- Puri Yatra Replica: Inside the temple’s inner sanctum, a stunning visual diorama depicting the world-renowned Jagannath Puri Yatra and the sea of gathering devotees was created.
Thousands of Devotees Seek Blessings
From the early hours of Thursday, a massive influx of lakhs of devotees from across the state and near Ahmedabad descended upon Salangpur Dham. Pilgrims queued up eagerly to witness this rare and blissful form of Hanumanji, expressing immense gratitude and spiritual fulfillment.
