Fire Department Launches Large-Scale Rescue Operation
A major fire incident was reported in Surat’s Vesu area after a blaze broke out in a residential flat located on the 9th floor of the Jainam Grand Altis apartment complex. The incident created panic among residents as flames and smoke spread through the upper floors of the building.
According to initial information received from local sources, the fire occurred in one of the premium residential units and caused significant property damage. Authorities have not yet confirmed the exact extent of the loss, though preliminary estimates indicate damage worth several lakhs to crores of rupees.
Soon after receiving information about the incident, the Surat Fire Department rushed multiple emergency units to the spot.
A large deployment was made including:
- More than 10 fire vehicles
- Hydraulic rescue equipment

- Fire and rescue personnel
Firefighters immediately began operations to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby floors and safely evacuate residents.
Residents Rescued From Upper Floors
As part of the emergency response:
- Two residents were rescued from the 10th floor
- Two more residents were rescued from the 11th floor
- Seven individuals were safely evacuated from the terrace area
Officials carried out rescue efforts using hydraulic systems and coordinated evacuation procedures.

Eyewitnesses reported heavy smoke and panic inside the residential premises after the fire started. Residents from nearby units moved to safer areas while emergency teams restricted access to upper floors.
